What An Exciting Weekend

This weekend was the BIG move.  Husband and I packed up our entire house and moved everything to a storage unit... in just 2 days!  It was a crazy weekend, but we managed to get our house all ready for our first tenant.  We had the incredible help of our family that made it all possible.
We put an offer on a wonderful house and now we're playing the waiting game.  We've shacked up with my parents in law and will be living a new kind of adventure for the next 30 days or so.  It's quite an interesting time in life and I couldn't be more excited to be doing all of this with Bob.  Despite the stress, fatigue and hectic schedule we managed to have a pretty good time moving.

Winston was ready to go before we even finished packing.

We found these under one of the beds.

And this weekend we also had more fun celebrating Matt & Jackie's engagement.  We can't wait to have Jackie join our fun family!

I'm a Landlord

It's official, husband and I are now landlords.  Tonight we signed a lease with a new renter who will be living in our house for the next year.  I couldn't be more thrilled about this real estate adventure we're embarking on.  Now we just have to find our new house!  I'm sooo excited!! (and, I know exactly what you're thinking...)

Pincha Mayurasana

Life has been going non-stop lately.  My job is incredibly demanding and stressful right now and husband and I are trying to rent our house in hopes of purchasing a new home - there's a lot going on!  Fortunately my yoga practice is leaving me feeling refreshed and ready to face all of these challenges ahead.  I feel stronger than ever and have been challenging myself with some new poses including Pincha Mayurasana (a.k.a. Feathered Peacock pose).

In addition to my yoga practice, I'm taking a break from caffeine.  I have been missing my morning coffee this week, but that usually only lasts about a week (I do this periodically).  Instead I've been opting for mint or green tea.  I do feel a lot less weighed down and more in tune with my emotions.  Stress, you don't stand a chance!  :)

House For Rent

House for rent!  Husband and I are in search of respectful renters who would enjoy our quiet tree lined street in Urbana, close to the University of Illinois campus.
The house features:
Hardwood floors throughout entire 1st floor
Newly finished basement with carpeted family room, game room, utility room and bonus room
Open floor plan with kitchen, dining & living room
3 bedrooms
2 full baths
Washer & dryer included
Storage in basement
Ceiling fans in every room
Beautifully landscaped yard with large deck on back of house
Single car garage
2 blocks from Blair Park
3 blocks from Urbana Middle School
Close to University of Illinois - campus bus picks up 1/2 block away (5 min. to Illini Union)
This is the perfect spot for families and/or graduate students. We're looking for someone to treat our home with care and respect while enjoying all of the beauty of our neighborhood. Our street is quiet and safe with caring neighbors.

Please spread the word!

Move, Eat, Learn

How incredibly creative, beautiful, inspiring and amazing this video is.  Wanderlust-ers beware - it is guaranteed to be travelbug inducing.  Also, Eat (love!) and Learn.

Yumm-o Foodstuffs

Tomato mozzarella basil salad atop a grilled portabella

Over the last week, husband and I have grilled out a lot.  We've had some delicious meals under the stars on our deck.  It's one of my favorite ways to spend summer nights.  Here are some pics of our yumm-o foods.
