Frog Pillow
This pillow takes me back to high school biology class. I'm not sure that I'd like this staring at me from the living room couch everyday.

Buddakan NYC
This scallop was heavenly.
I love food. And, while Bob and I were in New York City last month we were treated to a fabulous meal at Buddakan NYC where our friend Adam is a chef. We felt - and ate - like rock stars. After ordering a couple of small dishes, our server spent the rest of the evening delivering multiple courses, "compliments of the kitchen," including a dessert spread to die for. What a treat that was!
Moo Shu Pork
Duck Salad
Bread pudding with cinnamon ice cream
Donuts with delicious dipping sauces
Peanut butter wrapped in chocolate and more chocolate with peanut butter ice cream - oh my!
Homemade Twinkie & Strawberry Sorbet
We didn't remember to start taking pictures until the second course so we missed some goodies. Man, were we happy campers! :)

Fun With The Girlies
I think I've said it before, but I really am a lucky gal when it comes to friends. I have a group of childhood girlfriends that can't be beat. We've been friends for so long. We've celebrated each other through some incredible milestones and we've supported each other through some pretty difficult trials. Most recently we celebrated our friend Sarah's wedding in New York City. Oh, what fun we had!
Husband and I had some fun in the photo booth, too. :)

Must Keep Running
Most people run a race to see who is fastest. I run a race to see who has the most guts. - Steve Prefontaine
This is not about instant gratification. You have to work hard for it, sweat for it, give up sleeping in on Sunday mornings. - Lauren Fessenden
The truth is that running hurts. - Unknown

Happy Birthday, Craig
Today I'm sending lots of love and very heartfelt wishes to my dad, Craig, for a happy day as he celebrates his 50th birthday. Craig is one of the most caring and thoughtful people that I've ever had in my life. We have a special relationship that only continues to grow stronger. No matter where life takes us, Craig and I will always have a special bond. From teaching me not to fear jumping off of the diving board to a shoulder to cry on to cheering me on through every adventure I embark on, Craig is a stellar parent and friend. I couldn't be more fortunate to have him as my dad. Craig, thanks for everything, and today let us celebrate you and this wonderful milestone. You deserve it!
Love you!

Bergdorf Windows
Husband and I just returned from a wonderful trip to New York City for my friend Sarah's wedding. It was a fabulous affair and we had a delightful time exploring the city. (Major kudos to Bob for sticking out the weekend with me and my 7 best gal pals!) All fashion lovers know that no trip to NYC is complete without a stroll down 5th Avenue past the windows of Bergdorf Goodman. Alexander McQueen and others provided amazing works of art (see the red stunner above) and the BG stylistas wowed with their creative window displays. For your viewing pleasure...
These looked like real feathers.
This reminded me of a Barbie outfit I used to have.
Love the armor.
Sigh...

Moms Are The Best
Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful moms out there! Moms really are the best, aren't they? My mom and I were like two peas in a pod. Every Mother's Day we'd spend hours in her garden planting flowers and then we'd just sit back and enjoy a lovely afternoon sipping sun tea. Those days really were the best! Today, in honor of my mom, I spent time planting flowers in my garden and making our yard look lovely. She would definitely be proud!

Travel Recovery
Happy weekend, Lovelies! What are your plans for the weekend? Husband and I will be recovering from our trip to New York City last week. We had a stupendous time, but due to some altered travel plans and going non-stop, we're pooped. We'll be holed up in our house with Winston catching up on Mad Men, doing some things around the house and just relaxing. Photos from the trip coming soon.
In the meantime, here's a song that my friend Beth sent to me when I lived in NYC ages ago. I've never bothered to find out where it's from, but I love it.
‘Cos everyone’s your friend
In New York City
And everything looks beautiful
When you’re young and pretty
The streets are paved with diamonds
And there’s just so much to see
But the best thing about New York City is
You and me
You wrote me a letter
Just the other day
Said springtime is coming soon
So why don’t you come to stay
I packed my stuff, I’m on the the bus
I can’t believe it’s true
I’m three days from New York City
And I’m three days from you

Killing Us Softly
In college I wrote a 15 page research paper on the topic of women's health as affected by media. This video drives a pretty important issue that continues to linger and perhaps is growing even more out of control.

Three L's
Loving these three L's of a lasting marriage. In addition to loving a whole lot, Husband and I are always laughing. All the time. From the little things to the silly jokes we share. It's one of my favorite things about our relationship.
