Talking Twins

If you haven't seen this video yet, prepare to laugh.  This is one of the silliest things I've seen and it's got me in stitches.
Have fun weekend, lovelies!

Royal Wedding

What a great day for a Royal Wedding.  I can't wait to see her dress!  Kate Middleton's style is incredible.  Are you watching?

House Numbers

I'm in the market for new house numbers.  Husband and I have done so much updating to our house, both inside and out, and I've been craving a fun new change to our house numbers.  There are so many cool options.  Love this pretty tile and these tiles.  And, wouldn't these numbers be awesome on a cleverly stained piece of wood (like yellow!)?  I may take inspiration from these for a fun backyard project...

New Obsession

My new obsession is the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris.  After ending our subscription to HBO and being at the mercy of Netflix, I haven't been able to stay as up to date on True Blood as I'd like.  So I started reading the books and now I'm addicted.  Vampire sci-fi/trashy romance, these books are very entertaining.  :)

Not Lady Liberty?

Have you heard about the Statue of Liberty stamp debacle?  The US Postal Service printed these new stamps featuring our Lady Liberty, only it's not really her.  It's the statue from New York, New York in Las Vegas.  Kind of funny, don't you think?  You can read about it here.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter, my lovelies.  I hope you have a glorious day with family and friends.  Husband and I will be spending much time with ours.  And, bonus: the weather turned out to be wonderful!  Perfect for planting some spring annuals.  Thankful for this wonderful life...

Plus, how Peeps are made.

Happy Earth Day

Happy Earth Day!  Today I'm feeling appreciative for the rainy rainy weather we've had lately.  Soon the May flowers will be in full glorious bloom.  I thought I'd share three new earth-friendly goals that I'm setting for myself for the rest of this year in celebration of Earth Day.

1. Not keep the faucet running while I brush my teeth.
2. Keep my collapsible canvas bag with me all the time and use it at every store - not just the supermarket.
3. Do my best to eat local produce when possible - even if it is a little more expensive.
And a 4th to grow on: Ride the bus or my bike to work at least 2 days a week.

And a couple of quotes that I like:
Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.
-Kahlil Gibran

We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.
- Native American Proverb
